It’s June, and that means it’s time to pick out a new desktop wallpaper! As Smashing Magazine says, desktop wallpapers can serve as an excellent source of inspiration. And sometimes it’s good to just change things up a bit.
Every month Smashing Magazine asks artists and designers from around the world to contribute desktop wallpapers, and the best part is they all come with embedded calendars. I am someone who is somehow always looking up dates, so it’s great to be able to just refer to the desktop instead of right clicking or opening a widget.
This month I have decided to go with Seagull designed by Indeziner, probably because it looks so summery which is nice when the weather outside is grey (like today, but that’s typical London for you).
I also like Romantic Night designed by Sasha Bell.
I have to say though, one of my all-time favourite wallpapers has got to be this one of Homer reaching for the apple. I seriously had that default Mac blue background as my wallpaper for a year and a half, so this is just too funny!
